I'm back!

I'm happy to say that Mary Kay has been good to me this week. My face feels marvelous! I'm thinking it really doesn't take two weeks to notice a difference. I can't imagine what it's gonna look like when I'm finished with this experiment.

My favorite product from the Timewise line is the eye cream. Then, I would have to say it's the night time solution. I can't wait to use these products everyday, because they make my face feel happy. There is no other way to describe it.

Ladies, I know I don't have many followers...but you should call Christy or find another sales person and ask if you can get a two week trial. This is the only way you will truly see results.

Keep following...

Day 5

Homework again! Double UGH!!!!! I just used Meredith's advice and pretended it was a mini spa! I like that idea, especially tonight.

I'm seeing a HUGE DIFFERENCE with the skin texture of my chin. It's almost smooth. It hasn't felt this way since my twenties. I have to say I really had my doubts about these products. Now, I'm beginning to see why I needed to give it two weeks to work. My skin had to have a chance to get all of the toxins and old skin removed before the products could work. They are obviously working now. Tonight, it just felt good to put on the Timewise Night Solution. My face feels clean and happy!

Night, Night! Sorry these blogs are so short, Christy...homework has to come first :o)

Day 4

Well today has been a day. I've been participating in a Math workshop this week and tonight I have homework (UGH), so I'm gonna make this quick.

I'm liking the products more and more each day. My favorite product is the face wash. I like the fact that you don't need a lot to clean your face. This product will last a while. My face feels smooth and the blemishes are disappearing. I'm a little worried that I will get tired if the two times a day routine though. I must admit that my biggest downfall in this experiment will be my laziness. The agreement was to use it religiously and that means two times a day...so Christy, I'm sticking to the rules.:o)

Stay tuned!

Day 3

Ok, I woke up this morning and noticed that all the old blemishes were gone, but I'm getting a new one. The good thing is that it is ONLY ONE!

I have to say that Christy asked me today if my face was slimy....and it isn't slimy just really clean and smooth. When your face is used to soap and water and now it actually gets a little moisture, I feels different. The texture of my skin is changing. I'm not feeling the rough dry patches and the oil control moisturizer is helping during these extremely hot days!

Things I like today:
Clean feeling face
Pores are noticeably smaller (that's because my face is clean ... huh Christy?)
Dry/rough patches are gone

Thing I have to get used to:
Following this routine morning and night...I'm lazy when it comes to that. I really struggle with remembering to go through the steps at night. I just want to wash and be finished.

I've been using Mary Kay make-up for years. I started wearing it way back in high school. I ventured off a few times with other brands, but I always come back to Mary Kay. I've been Christy's customer for a couple of years now and I think she is one of the best sales directors I've ever met. I trust her judgment with just about anything concerning my life and my choice of make-up colors. Now, I'm starting to believe that she was right about the Timewise products too! I still have 11 more days to go. Only time will tell if she was right and I was wrong.

Stay tuned!!!!

Day 2

Ok, it's day 2 of this Mary Kay Experiment and I'm breaking out! Ugh! Don't get all nervous now, Christy. I told you I would try the products for two weeks and I'm gonna stick to it no matter how many unsightly blemishes I have to endure. I do have to remind everyone that I was breaking out before I used the Mary Kay products. That's how this Mary Kay experiment all started in the first place.

Things I liked about the products after I used them:
My face did feel clean! (Christy is probably thinking...cleaner than it ever has been in the past)
I really like the moisturizer! 40 year old skin can actually feel soft!
The eye cream did work miracles. Just tap it in the wrinkles and there IS a noticeable difference.

Things I probably need to get used to:
Using a wash rag to make sure I get off all the cleanser. My face felt so clean after using it I think I rubbed too hard cause my face felt slimy. ( I know Christy...it was cleaner than it's ever been)
My face felt too wet. It's hard to describe, but for about 10 minutes after applying the moisturizer, my face felt wet. After I let it dry for a while, my face just felt smooth.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you which Mary Kay products I'm using. I'm using the Timewise products. The one with the purple swoosh for combination to oily skin. Christy can go into all the details...remember I'm just the friend of a sales director. I'm not here to sell you anything. This is just my experiment and I wanted to share the results with you.

I'm trying to add a picture of myself after Christy did her magic on me. Christy, I need you to resend the picture. I can't pull it up :o(

2 week Mary Kay Experiment

Hi! I'm Amy and I'm doing an experiment for my great friend Christy. She's an Independant Mary Kay sales Director and can sell those products like no other.

So, here's how it all started...Christy and I were relaxing by the pool yesterday and and she said "Amy, I noticed that you don't use any of my skincare products." In my mind all I can picture is Christy zoning in on the huge bump between my eyes and the many bumps on my chin. To tell you the truth, I have just been ignoring them. That's my way of believing no one else can see them like I do. She then asked my what I've been using to cleanse my face. My response was soap and water. Her rebuttal was you should really be thinking about your skin as your age. Ok, that was a point she didn't have to mention. And I'm thinking this could be the end of a great friendship. Was she saying that I had pimples and looked OLD? The nerve of her! Time for a heated battle! I thought she was my friend! Then, she said I have some product that will make you look and feel younger. Ha ha! That was her sales pitch. I always have to brace myself when we hang out cause I know at some point during our visitation Christy will try to sell me something. That's fine with me because that's why I love hanging out with her. It becomes a game to me to see if I can say no. I usually can't That's why she's a sales director! Well yesterday, wasn't any different.

Here's a little background...I have used the skincare products in the past and my face broke out all over! I just figured I was allergic. Christy told me that I was using the wrong product and needed to try the other version. Christy could sense my reluctance and turned on the charm. She said all I have to to is try it religiously for two weeks and I would see a noticeable difference.

Me being the competitor that I am, took her challenge and decided to blog about it. Stay tuned for the results.
